AELMIIR

Something is not right...
Lana was sitting in a hot bath. Her knees were to her chest and serenity about her in the steamy haze. Her mind barely registered the soft scrubbing on her back. It was Rin, she knew, though how she got into the tub she couldn’t place. She had only closed her eyes moments ago, but that didn’t matter for she was with him.
Rin hummed a song that sounded familiar. Lana had just begun to feel the annoyance of not being able to pin the name to the tune when the Halfling’s presence manifested in front of her. His smooth lips found hers and her heart fluttered like it had when they first kissed.
Something is not right...
Rin’s hands were in her hair, holding her to him. Then slowly they slip down the side of her face, resting at her neck. There his fingers, suddenly large and rough, intertwined, encompassing her throat. The smell of fish and stale ale filled her nose and Lana snapped her eyes open. They found themselves staring into the soulless eyes of Barut. His whole body was pressed against hers, a smile plastered to his face as he choked her.
“Women like you deserve to be punished!” Barut’s voice echoed. Tears streamed down her cheeks as her voice remained nonexistent. Lana wanted to move, to fight back and break free, but she knew if she struggled he would hit her, or worse, be inside her again.
Something is not right...
Lana faded into the fog of death, or what she thought was death. Whatever it was, she was all alone. Lana floated about in a black sea for what felt like an eternity before a pair of arms scooped her up. Part of her didn’t want to see who it was, but she dared a peek, turning her head to gaze upward.
“Hey Babygirl,” Sy said, kissing her forehead.
“Where were you!?” she yelled, “Why did you leave me to him!?” Lana squirmed out of his arms and proceeded to hit his chest repeatedly. Amidst her thrashing, Sylis grabbed her hand and held up her pinky.
“I was here,” he said, pointing to the red string around her finger, “and will always be here.”
Sylis’s voice was warm, melting the fury Lana felt. A breeze ruffled their hair and the memories of Wendelin’s wedding washed over. Lana was in the crowsnest with the Wizard, where she promised to be his forever and ever. Her chest burned with joy as she willing gave herself to him.
Something is not right...
Lana’s mind then lit up with the thought, I’m not bleeding! She pushed Sylis off of her and looked to her stomach. The scar where she had cut herself was ripped open, but no blood was coming out.
“I’m not bleeding!” Lana shouted at Sylis, “I’m not bleeding!”
“You’re going to be alright,” the Wizard told her. He wrapped his arms about her, but Lana continued to thrash, exclaiming she wasn’t bleeding. The last thing she remembers was Sylis’s voice in her ear saying once again, “You’re going to be alright,” when she fell off the bed.
Lana bolted up right as she snapped out of her dream. She quickly placed a hand to her stomach, a pit forming at the touch.
Heavens! I’m pregnant!
